Visits to museums, gardens and places of interest are undertaken from time to time. They are advertised well in advance and details are also given on this web page.
We will visit Cromford Mills in Derbyshire on Tuesday 18 August 2026. This will be an all-day trip. Cromford Mills dates from 1771 and was the world's first water powered cotton spinning mill. Today it is a living museum and has been used as a tourist attraction as well as a filming location for programs such as the Antiques Roadshow. The local village is also a delightful place to wander around and soak up the atmosphere of days gone past.
The cost of the trip will be £40 pp. This will include the entrance fee and a 90-minute guided tour. This will be followed by a traditional cream tea. There are ample facilities for teas and coffees and a sit down as you move around.
For further details or to reserve a seat, please email Gordon Trigg or speak to any committee member.
