Visits to museums, gardens and places of interest are undertaken from time to time. They are advertised well in advance and details are also given on this web page.

We will visit Gladstone Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent on Wednesday 7 October 2026.  This will be an all-day trip; about, 09.30 to 16.00.  The museum has told us that there is good access for walking-aids and wheel chairs.  The second floor is accessible by lift. The pottery dates from the late 18th century but is now a tourist attraction as well as being used as a TV set for the popular Great Pottery Throwdown programme. Gladstone Pottery Museum is the only complete Victorian pottery factory from the days when coal burning ovens made the world's finest bone china.

The cost of the trip will be £30 pp.  This will include the coach trip, the entrance fee and a 90-minute guided tour.  The cafe has quite an extensive menu but we are leaving individuals to buy their own refreshments.

For further details or to reserve a seat, please email Gordon Trigg or speak to any committee member.
