The Walking Group is back in action after being temporarily suspended while we find a new convenor.
The Walking Group enjoys a variety of short walks within a reasonable distance of Ellesmere Port. We typically walk 3 to 6 miles, and prefer to use public transport as far as practical to get to the starting point. When we do local walks we can finish in the morning; when we walk somewhere further away or a longer distance, this will take us into the afternoon.
Good walking shoes or boots are recommended, and walkers are welcome to bring a drink and snack. Some walks lead us near a café, where we may be tempted to take a break, but this is optional.
If you have a health condition which may cause issues during a walk, or if you carry medication which someone else might have to manage in an emergency, please notify the walk leader in advance. Our basic Risk Assessment is available here: Risk Assessment.
